BMW M3 Competition 2012 (E92 LCI)

Description

This 2012 BMW M3 was ordered with the Competition Package and was sold new at Dave Walter BMW in Akron, Ohio, and it spent time registered in the state before it was offered on BaT in August 2022. Now indicating 27k miles, the car is finished in Fire Orange over black leather and cloth. Power is provided by a 4.0-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and equipment includes a limited-slip differential, an M Performance exhaust system, carbon-fiber exterior trim, adaptive xenon headlights, 19″ Style 359 wheels, manually adjustable front sport seats, and a CD stereo. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this E92 M3 is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title. The car is finished in Fire Orange with Shadowline trim and carbon-fiber components including the roof panel, rear spoiler, front splitters, and mirror caps. The exterior also features adaptive xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, black-finished kidney grilles, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The Competition Package specified a lowered ride height compared to the standard M3 as well as retuned Electronic Damping Control (EDC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Braking is handled by four-wheel vented and cross-drilled discs measuring 14.2″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. The manually adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather with cloth inserts, and Carbon Structure Leather trim accents the dashboard and doors. The car was ordered without iDrive, and appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a CD stereo. The Carfax report notes that the driver-side airbag assembly was replaced in July 2021. The microsuede-wrapped steering wheel features paddle shifters and a yellow centering stripe, and it fronts a 200-mph speedometer, an M-branded tachometer, a central information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in June 2023, while an oil change was carried out in October 2024. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. The car is equipped with an M Performance exhaust system. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ohio and New Jersey.
