BMW M3 Competition 2012 (E92 LCI)

Description

This 2012 BMW M3 was sold new at BMW of Sterling, Virginia, and was relocated to California in 2016 after being purchased by the seller. The car is finished in Space Grey Metallic over a Palladium Silver Novillo leather interior and is equipped with the Premium and ZCP Competition Packages. It is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. Modifications are said to include an M Performance exhaust and an LED Angel Eyes headlight conversion, and recent service included replacement of a motor mount and an oil change. Now showing 56k miles, this E92 M3 is offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in Space Grey Metallic (A52) and features a glass sunroof, rear parking sensors, Shadowline trim, tinted windows, and power-folding mirrors. The xenon headlights have been modified with an LED conversion for the Angel Eyes, and body-color front reflector panels were added. The seller notes scratches and dents and that two drill holes from the front license plate mount were filled. A repaired windshield chip is visible. Staggered-width 19″ Style 359M wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 245/35 up front and 265/35 out back. The Competition Package included a reprogrammed Electronic Damping Control unit and a lowered ride height. The interior is trimmed in Palladium Silver Novillo leather with black carpets and carbon fiber accents on the dashboard. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable seats, a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, iDrive with navigation, a power rear window sunshade, cruise control, and rain-sensing wipers. The seller reports that the automatic seat belt extender occasionally does not catch the seat belt, comfort access does not function properly on one of the two keys, and that there is an intermittent hum from the cupholder area of the dashboard at certain speeds. Instrumentation includes a 200-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 56k miles, approximately 36k of which were added by the seller. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 featured double-VANOS variable valve timing to produce 414 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with an M Variable differential lock.
