Description

This 2009 BMW M3 is a black-on-black coupe that was first delivered to Santa Monica BMW of Santa Monica, California and is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes the Premium and Technology packages as well as xenon headlights, parking sensors, 18″ Titan 7 T-S5 wheels, KW coilovers, heated front seats, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. The car has remained registered in California since new and was acquired by the current owner in 2020. Work in August 2022 consisted of replacing the engine air filter and performing recalls for the driver’s airbag, blower motor wiring, and positive battery cable. This E92 M3 has 65k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a window sticker, owner’s manuals, partial service records, a spare set of wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name. The car is finished in Jet Black with Shadowline trim, and additional exterior details include adaptive xenon headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a carbon-fiber roof panel, a trunk lid spoiler, rear parking sensors, and quadruple exhaust outlets. Dings and chips are present on various body panels, and the seller notes that scrapes are present on the front bumper cover. Black 18″ Titan 7 TS-5 forged wheels are wrapped in 265/35 front and 295/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that were mounted in 2021. The car is fitted with KW Clubsport two-way coilovers, and the Electronic Damping Control (EDC) has reportedly been reprogrammed to accommodate the modifications. Work in 2020 consisted of installing an MRF Engineering subframe mount set, changing the brake and power steering fluids, and fitting StopTech brake pads and stainless steel brake lines. The tire pressure monitor sensors have been removed. A spare set of 19″ Style 220 wheels is included in the sale. The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black Novillo leather, and Carbon Structure Leather trim accents the dashboard and doors. Amenities include iDrive with navigation, Comfort Access keyless entry, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. Recalls for the driver’s airbag and blower motor wiring were performed in August 2022. The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel features tri-color stitching and is equipped with shift paddles. Instrumentation includes an M-branded tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, a central information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 65k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added under current ownership. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Service in July 2020 consisted of replacing the rod bearings with Mahle components, installing ARP rod bolts, flushing the coolant, and changing the engine mounts, oil pan gasket, and oil pump pick-up tube o-rings. The battery was reportedly replaced in 2021, and a recall for the positive battery cable was performed in August 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. The window sticker shows initial delivery to Santa Monica BMW of Santa Monica, California and lists factory equipment, colors, and a total price of $73,220. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California from new.
