Description
This 2009 BMW M3 coupe was acquired by the seller’s father around seven years ago, converted to a race car by AUTOCouture Motoring of Fair Lawn, New Jersey in 2018, and reportedly utilized in the ST2 category of NASA competitions. Power is from a 4.0-liter V8 paired with a replacement six-speed manual transmission, and the white-painted bodywork has been fitted with 24Motorsport bumpers, side skirts, front fenders, and rear fender flares. Additional equipment includes a full roll cage with door bars, twin Recaro bucket seats, an adjustable chassis-mount rear wing, Öhlins adjustable coilovers, and Forgeline wheels. This E92 M3 race car is being offered by the seller on behalf of his father in New York with a clean Carfax report, records from current ownership, and a clean New Jersey title. The car is finished in white with a carbon fiber roof panel, doors, and hood, and 24Motorsport bumpers, side skirts, front fenders, and rear fender flares. Additional exterior features include a front splitter, an APR chassis-mounted adjustable rear wing, louvered hood, fiberglass doors, and carbon fiber headlight covers and side mirror caps. The door handles and glass have been removed, and various rock chips and scratches are visible along with uneven panel fitment. The Forgeline wheels are mounted with Hoosier R7 slicks. Braking is through StopTech monoblock calipers at all four corners. The car rides on Öhlins adjustable coilovers that were rebuilt and re-valved in 2019, and additional suspension modifications include Rogue Engineering monoball front tension arm bushings, adjustable toe arms, and rear spindle ball joints. The cabin has been stripped and was fitted with a full roll cage with door bars in 2019. Equipment includes twin Recaro fixed-back bucket seats with driver-side head restraints, Schroth harnesses, drilled pedal covers, a fire extinguisher, and a CAE shifter. An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 200-mph speedometer and a 9k-rpm tachometer with inset auxiliary displays. The digital odometer indicates 76k miles, around 27k of which have been added during current ownership. The 4.0-liter V8 was fitted with BE rod bearings, ARP rod bolts, and a replacement oil pan gasket and spark plugs in 2021. The replacement six-speed manual transmission was also installed in April 2021. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below, along with invoices from AUTOCouture Motoring. The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage, lists three open recalls, and displays history in Nebraska, Indiana, and New Jersey through the most recent entry in June 2019.
