Description
This 2009 BMW M3 coupe was first registered in North Carolina and has remained in the state following the current owner’s acquisition in 2020. Work since then involved installing ARP connecting rod bolts and Bilstein B6 shock absorbers in addition to servicing the transmission and replacing the rod bearings, throttle valve actuators, oil pan gasket, thermostat, DMTL pump, upper timing chain gaskets, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and various brake components. Finished in Space Gray Metallic over Black Novillo leather, the car is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 linked with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential. Further equipment includes 19″ forged Style 220 wheels, a sunroof, xenon headlights, heated front seats, and iDrive with navigation. This E92 M3 has 57k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title. The car is finished in Space Gray Metallic (A52) and features Shadowline trim and adaptive xenon headlights as well as rain-sensing wipers, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover reflectors have been removed and replaced with body-color caps. Forged 19″ Style 220 wheels are wrapped in 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires showing a mixture of 2018 and 2019 date codes. The car features Electronic Damping Control (EDC), and Bilstein B6 Performance shocks were fitted in 2023. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented and cross-drilled discs measuring 14.2″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. The front brake pads, rotors, and sensors were replaced in preparation for the sale, at which time the rear brake pad wear sensor was also changed. The heated power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in Black Novillo leather, and Carbon Structure Leather trim accents the dashboard and doors. Amenities include Comfort Access keyless entry, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and iDrive with navigation. The right door lock actuator was replaced in May 2025, and wear is noted on the left door panel. The multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel features paddle shifters along with tri-color stitching and frames an M-branded tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, a central information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 57k miles, approximately 27k of which have been added under current ownership. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Service since 2020 involved installing ARP connecting rod bolts and replacing the rod bearings, both throttle valve actuators, oil pan gasket, battery, thermostat, oil level sensor O-ring, oil separator gasket, DMTL pump, valve cover gaskets, upper timing chain gaskets, spark plug tubes, spark plugs, and expansion tank hose. The seller notes there is an oil leak from one of the valve covers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. Service since August 2024 involved changing the transmission fluid and replacing the Mechatronics cover seal, filter, valve body gasket, dual-clutch temperature sensor, wiring harness O-ring, and torque convertor, cooling hose, and oil cooler seals. Manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and the removed factory front reflectors will be included in the sale. The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
