Description

This 2008 BMW M3 is a stock coupe finished in Jerez Black Metallic over black Novillo leather that shows just over 38k miles after a year with the seller. The car was sold new in Kansas, where it remained until moving to Michigan in 2017 and Southern California in early 2018. Power comes from a 4.0-liter DOHC V8 paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the car was ordered with a host of factory options as described below. Condition is detailed in over 250 photos, and the sale includes an accident-free Carfax report, the original window sticker, and a Michigan title in the seller’s name. Jerez Black Metallic paint is shown up close in a number of photos below, which also cover various chips, marks, and other blemishes in detail. The finish was reportedly deemed original by Barron BMW of Overland Park, Kansas after inspection both visually and with a paint meter prior the seller’s purchase. A clear protective film has been applied over the front end, with the seller noting some damage caused by insects. Factory 19″ split-spoke wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza rubber from 2011 and 2013. Several show curb rash as pointed out by the seller in the gallery below. Xenon headlamps are auto-leveling and feature cornering lights. Lighting, badging, and other trim are also shown up close below. Adjustable-width sport seats are finished in black Novillo leather and equipped with heaters as part of the Cold Weather Package. The Premium Package provides heated folding mirrors, brushed aluminum trim, a universal garage door opener, and a digital compass mirror, while the Technology Package adds M Drive, electronic damping control, Comfort Access, rain-sensing wipers, and navigation. A sunroof, a powered rear sunshade, and the Enhanced Premium Sound package are also included along with Park Distance Control. Titanium-finished instruments include a 200-mph speedometer and a digital odometer showing just over 38k miles, approximately 3,300 of which have been added by the seller. A Calibre radar and laser detector has been added. The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 features double VANOS variable valve timing and an 8,400 rpm redline. Factory ratings for 2008 were 414 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent rearward through a 6-speed manual gearbox and variable locking differential. An oil change was completed in February 2018. Underbody photos show the general condition of the drivetrain, suspension, and exhaust system. The Carfax report shows no accidents or thefts over four owners, also noting general service entries and an open blower motor recall. The sale includes an original window sticker showing a 2008 MSRP of just over $70k, as well as books, manuals, and two sets of floor mats.
