Description

This 2008 BMW M3 coupe was modified for track use under previous ownership at Raven Performance of Markham, Ontario, Canada. The three-year build was completed in 2012 and included installation of adjustable Moton suspension components, an electric power steering pump, Apex alloy wheels, and AP Racing four-wheel disc brakes as well as a carbon-fiber wing and front splitter, and a Motec data logger and power distribution unit. Power is provided by a 4.0-liter V8 equipped with an aftermarket performance camshaft, a Pectel SQ6 ECU with a custom wiring harness, an aFe cold-air intake, a carbon-fiber plenum cover, exhaust headers, and a custom X-pipe exhaust system with Borla mufflers. The car is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic over a stripped interior that has been fitted with a roll cage, OMP racing seats, and TRS six-point cam-lock harnesses. Additional equipment includes a six-speed manual transmission, a Diffsonline limited-slip differential, Bosch Motorsport ABS, xenon headlights, and a carbon-fiber roof. The car was acquired by the seller in 2019, reportedly from its original owner, and has been used for a handful of track days in the time since. This E92 M3 race car is now offered in Canada with wiring harness documentation, computer interface wires, a replacement Mahle oil filter, four spare wheels and tires, and an Ontario registration document in the seller’s name. The car is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic and features a carbon-fiber front splitter, roof panel, and rear wing as well as front and rear tow hooks and dual downturned exhaust outlets. Close-up photos depicting a door ding, a C-pillar dent, scratches on the driver’s door handle, and a quarter-panel scuff can be viewed in the gallery. The seller states that there are numerous paint chips on the front bumper cover, but are difficult to see in photographs. Apex ARC-8 18″ flow-formed alloy wheels are finished in silver and mounted with 265/35  Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, and a matching spare is included. Suspension at the front and rear is handled by two-way adjustable remote-reservoir Moton coilovers, and Turner Motorsport adjustable front camber plates are installed up front. An electric power steering pump has been added, and AP Racing disc brakes are fitted at all four corners and augmented by Bosch Motorsport ABS. The brake fluid is said to have been flushed in spring 2022. The race-prepped cabin features OMP HTE-R fiberglass racing seats with gel-coated perforated shells, padded head restraints, and grip-enhancing black fabric as well as TRS six-point cam-lock harnesses. Additional equipment includes a roll cage with double impact bars on the driver’s side and three bars through to each front strut tower as well as an OMP fire-suppression system, a 600-Series Tilton aluminum pedal assembly, and an OMP carbon-fiber shift knob. An ignition disconnect switch is mounted to the roll cage cross brace by the driver’s left hand, and a Motec power distribution module sits atop the transmission tunnel to the right. The seller notes that safety apparatus including the seats, harnesses, and window nets are expired, and the fire-suppression system will require re-certification prior to racing. A three-spoke quick-disconnect OMP steering wheel with an ultrasuede cover and yellow centering stripe fronts a Motec CDL3 configurable dash and data logger, and a Motec SLM-C shift light module is mounted atop the aluminum dash panel. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing as well as an aftermarket performance camshaft, an aFe Stage 2 cold air intake system, a carbon-fiber intake plenum cover, and a Pectel ECU with a custom wiring harness as well as full-length headers flowing into a custom dual exhaust system with an X-pipe crossover and Borla mufflers. The seller states that the oil level sensor does not work with the current harness and ECU, and that an included S65 dipstick doesn’t fit due to the proximity of the exhaust header. Oil level cannot be measured without draining. The oil is said to have been changed in summer 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an OS Giken clutch, a six-speed manual transmission, and a Diffsonline limited-slip differential with a polished 4.44:1 final gear set and 50/70 ramp angles. The car is accompanied by parts and documents including electronics and wiring harness details, computer interface wires, a replacement Mahle oil filter, a window net, an S65 oil dipstick, a carbon-fiber OMP steering wheel button plate, and a set of four Apex wheels mounted with Pirelli slicks. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists two Ontario registration events in 2008. The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its Ontario registration, which carries an “Unplated” notation.
