Description

This 2008 BMW M3 coupe is noted to have been initially purchased by former professional road racing cyclist and Olympian, Levi Leipheimer, before it was later purchased in October 2012 by the seller, and it has 22k miles. Modifications include revised engine management for the 4.0-liter V8 as well as an aftermarket carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, 19″ VMR V170 wheels, and H&R sway bars. The car wears Jerez Black Metallic paint over Black Novillo leather, and further appointments include a six-speed manual transmission, a carbon-fiber roof panel, rear parking sensors, power-adjustable front sport seats, Comfort Access, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This E92 M3 is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare and removed parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The car features an aftermarket carbon-fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, and kidney grilles as well as adaptive xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, Shadowline trim, a carbon-fiber roof panel, a trunk lid spoiler, rear parking sensors, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows damage in August 2014, and the seller tells us that the damage was the result of an earthquake causing a garage door to buckle and subsequently dent and scratch the trunk lid and rear spoiler. The trunk was then repainted, reportedly in its factory shade of Jerez Black Metallic (A73). Close-up photographs of the paintwork and trim are shown below, and chips in the wheelwells are noted. The 19″ VMR V170 wheels were powder-coated in Jet Anthracite Gloss and are mounted with Michelin tires. H&R sway bars are equipped, the car features Electronic Damping Control (EDC), and braking is handled by four-wheel vented and cross-drilled discs measuring 14.2″ and 13.8″ front and rear, respectively. The power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in Black Novillo leather, and Brushed Aluminum Shadow trim accents the dashboard and doors. Amenities include iDrive with navigation, Comfort Access keyless entry, Voice Control, aftermarket aluminum pedals, driver-seat position memory settings, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames an M-branded tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, a central information display, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles, approximately 13k of which were added under current ownership. The 4.0-liter S65 V8 features double-VANOS variable valve timing and revised engine management. The battery was replaced in July 2025. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in December 2016.
