Description

This 2008 BMW M3 was first registered in California and was acquired by the seller in 2016 from his father, who had owned it for the previous three years. The car is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic over black leather, and power is from a replacement 4.0-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and iDrive with navigation as well as modifications such as Apex ARC-8 wheels, blacked-out BMW roundels, H&R sport springs, and an Eisenmann cat-back exhaust system. This E90 M3 shows 47k miles and is offered with partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name. The car is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic (A30) and features black roundels, matte black kidney grille surrounds, and tinted windows. The upper windshield trim is said to have been replaced. Noted imperfections are shown up close in the gallery below. Apex ARC-8 18″x10″ wheels are fitted with 275/35 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, and H&R sport springs have been installed. The rear brake pads are said to have been changed and the brake fluid flushed following an inspection in October 2019. The cabin is trimmed in Black Novillo leather (NCSW). Amenities include heated and power-adjustable sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and an iDrive infotainment system with navigation. The seller notes wear on the outer driver’s seat backrest bolster, iDrive interface, and window switches. M Sport instrumentation consists of a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8,300-rpm redline. The digital odometer displays 47k chassis miles, of which 13k have been added during the seller’s ownership. The low-tone horn is said to have been replaced. A rod bearing in the original 4.0-liter V8 spun in late 2015 according to the seller, causing damage to the oil pan and steering rack. Replacement of the powerplant and associated repairs were performed by Critz BMW of Savannah, Georgia in March 2016. The engine features M Double VANOS variable valve timing and produced 414 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque at 3,900 rpm from the factory. Modifications include an Eisenmann cat-back exhaust system, the tips of which are discolored and cracked as seen in the gallery. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock rear end. The engine mounts are said to have been replaced after the October 2019 inspection. The seller notes that two of the felt-lined undertrays display tears at some of their attachment points. The March 2020 Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage and displays history in California as well as several southern states through its most recent entry in October 2019. Videos of a cold start and a start at operating temperature can be viewed below.
